Entry Requirements

We’re seeking teachers who are passionate about making a difference in the classroom and to the lives of young people across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
If you’re here, this is great news as we hope you have decided that becoming a teacher is something you want to do.
To apply for the teacher training routes we can offer, you will need to meet some criteria.

What else do I need to apply?

  • An undergraduate degree (BA/BSC Hons), or equivalent.
  • Ensure that you can demonstrate sufficient knowledge within the subject area you are applying to teach in. This can be through your degree qualification, A-Levels, or relevant experience.
  • Grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths GCSEs, or equivalent qualification
  • Candidates will need to have passed and received their GCSE qualification before applying. Pending results and functional skills qualifications can’t be accepted.

International Candidates

In addition to the requirements above, you will also need to have the right to study in the UK.
You will be eligible if you:
  • Are an Irish citizen.
  • Have settled or pre-settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme.
  • Have indefinite leave to remain in the UK.
If you do not have the right to study in the UK, you may need to apply for a visa. The main visa used for fee-paying courses is the student visa.
