ECT Registration

Registering with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough AB Service:

Step 1 - Register with us

All ECTs need to be registered with an Appropriate Body to sign off they have met the Teacher Standards.

To register new ECTs starting September 2023, please use the link below to complete our Service Level Agreement.

Step 2 - Transfer Process

Moving your ECTs from Local Authority ECT Manager accounts to Cambridgeshire and Peterborough AB Service: this applies to schools with any pre-existing ECTs from 2022/23.  Your LA should have contacted you in July providing instructions of the transfer process. If you are still registered with your previous LA instead of C&P AB Service, please contact us. 

Step 3 - Register your ECTs with the DfE Digital Service

Register your ECTs on the DfE portal. Please list Cambridgeshire and Peterborough AB Service as your Appropriate Body, and ensure your Delivery Partner and Lead Provider are listed correctly.

Step 4: Schools new to ECF only! Register with EDT  

Schools which are new to the Early Career Framework, or schools who were not previously registered with the Teaching School Hub as Delivery Partner, please register with Education Development Trust. Complete this form, and make sure EDT is listed as your Lead Provider on the DfE.
