ECTE – Early Career Teacher Entitlement

The Early Career Teacher Entitlement (ECTE) is the updated framework replacing the Early Career Framework (ECF) . It outlines the structured support and professional development that must be provided to Early Career Teachers (ECTs)  during their 2-year induction period.

The framework integrates Initial Teacher Training and the development programme for early career teachers into a cohesive structure.

This framework known as the ITTECF provides a two-year entitlement for Early Career Teachers and their mentors.

It is supported and fully funded by the Department for Education.

Delivery comprises a mix of conferences, face-to-face and online modules. The programme is structured to help Early Career Teachers integrate theory, practice and feedback.
