NPQ in Leading Behaviour and Culture (NPQLBC)

Programme breakdown

The NPQLBC is designed for teachers and school leaders who have an interest in leading behaviour and/or supporting pupil wellbeing in their school. For example, heads of year, TAs, or roles with pastoral responsibilities.

Designed with busy teachers in mind, the NPQLBC is delivered using a blend of online seminars, flexible online learning and face-to-face national conferences.

What will I learn?

You’ll develop the knowledge, skills and expertise to lead effective approaches to behaviour, pupil wellbeing and a whole school culture.

  • Supporting pupil wellbeing
  • Ensuring quality first teaching for all
  • Using data effectively
  • Leading complex behaviour management

  • Implementation

How will I benefit?

  • Benefit from the latest evidence-based research to aid with engaging and motivating staff and pupils

  • Work with serving school leaders and subject-matter experts to turn new learning into changes in your own and others’ practice

  • Create a culture of high expectations, good behaviour and learning amongst pupils, while supporting continuous professional learning for colleagues in your school

  • Develop expertise in high-quality teaching practices and behaviour management, including dealing with more complex behavioural needs and working with parents, the wider community and other organisations.

NPQ funding  is currently under review by the DfE
