Supporting your Growth: An East region Teaching School Hub event dedicated to supporting trainee teachers moving into their Early Career Teacher (ECT), years and current or new trainees and ECT mentors.

Audience: Current trainee teachers going into their ECT years and current or new trainees and ECT mentors.

What will we cover?

Teacher Trainees: Find out more about what to expect in your ECT year, including an overview of the Early Career Framework, the role of the Appropriate Body in monitoring your progress and how to stay connected.

Existing and new trainee teacher and ECT Mentors: Find out more about how to support trainees and ECT’s to develop subject knowledge. Learn from Dr Richard Kueh (HMI), who will give mentors background on the Ofsted Research Review series and will look at the big picture of subject based curricula. How do we as mentors stay up to date in the latest research best support our trainees and ECTs.
